Share Email Opening Title Substance Abuse Counselor/Case Manager  Category Counselor - Bachelors Level   Description Cumberland Mountain CSB is seeking an individual for a full-time Substance Use Disorder Counselor to provide counseling and case management services to individuals with substance use disorders.  Duties include  providing assessment, diagnosis, recommendation, treatment and case management services to this population, and document services in an electronic health record.   Individual will expected to provide conduct both individual and group counseling, as well as provide case management services, linking individuals to resources within the community.    Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in human services field and one year of direct service experience working with individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders or co-occurring disorders is required.  Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) certification is preferred, CSAC-A required.  Valid driver's license and good driving record also required.  Good computer skills in order to meet recordkeeping requirements.  Must pass all CMCSB background screenings.    Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Shift Days   Tags counselor, substance abuse   Travel Requirements travel to and from agency locations   Position Substance Abuse Counselor/Case Manager   Close Date   Number of Openings 1   Req Number COU-21-00006   Open Date 7/20/2021   Location Various locations   About the Organization CMCSB was formed in 1972 as a Chapter 10 Community Services Board under Virginia law. CMCSB provides mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse treatment services to the residents of Buchanan, Russell, and Tazewell Counties. At the present time, CMCSB operates over twenty locations, to include outpatient offices, mental health recovery programs, group homes and day support programs for intellectually disabled individuals, and a residential alcohol and drug treatment program. In addition, CMCSB has several services that are provided directly in an individual's home or in a supported environment. CMCSB also provides a 24-hour crisis team to assist community agencies and individuals in crisis situations. CMCSB employs approximately 500 employees, which include full-time and part-time employees, as well as individuals receiving services who are employed to work in various day programs.
