Billing Manager

The Billing Manager is responsible for the administration and direction of billing for services provided to Easterseals UCP clients. The Billing Manager will work to plan, organize, and direct the claims department. The Claims Manager coordinates with representatives of outside agencies, and members of the public by providing accurate information in an efficient manner. The Claims Manager coordinates and collaborates with internal departments including programs, contracts and credentialing, finance and QM to ensure accurate claims submission and efficient process regarding charge entry and accurate reporting to support business decisions.

Essential functions include:

  • Monitoring claims activities, performance management, and production standards and quality of results
  • Providing technical assistance to staff in order to initiate billing to all appropriate payer types
  • Analyzes data for bill presentation based on requirements and reviews claims for quality
  • Works to prepare or supervise the preparation of processes and billing submission to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Stays up to date on all regulations, and implements changes regarding claims and billing requirements
Position Requirements
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalence.
  • Knowledge of North Carolina, LME/MCO and Commercial payer rules and regulations related to billing
  • Minimum of a three years of experience in healthcare/Behavioral Health Care organization working within the claims and billing teams processing medical claims.
