Job Title:          Human Resources Manager

Reports to:        SPS President

Department:      Human Resources

FLSA Status:     Exempt

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages SPS recruitment, selection and the onboarding processes
  • Oversees SPS health & welfare benefits, 401k/retirement benefits, and SPS pay practices
  • Manages SPS annual performance review and merit compensation processes
  • Ensures SPS policies and procedures are aligned with culture, and employment regulations, in addition to keeping managers updated on HR initiatives
  • Partners with SQT to ensure employee training and development (OQs)
  • Handles employee relations issues including disciplinary processes and formal grievances
  • Provides strategic input and solutions to ultimately create a positive and productive work environment, in alignment with business needs.
  • Promotes partnerships with all employees and the leadership team to foster a positive work experience to all employees.
  • Knowledgably responds to employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures in a timely manner.

 

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of human resource related experience.
  • Preferred HR certification (SHRM/HRCI/CP/PHR)
  • Knowledge and Skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • High level user with Microsoft Office applications, Applicant Tracking Applications, HRIS and Social Media accounts.
  • Knowledge of office administration procedures.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices.
  • Ability to partner with employees and leadership.
