Sales Solutions Consultant Job Description

Leveraging industry knowledge and experience, Solutions Consultants determine and propose solution(s) to meet and exceed prospective customers' business and technical requirements in support of a sales cycle. Working in partnership with the Sales Directors, Solutions Consultants must have exceptional solution selling skills as well as business and technical acumen to understand the prospect's relevant business processes and articulate how the proposed solution(s) provide improved visibility, insights, efficiencies, etc. to solve for the defined business issues. As product experts, Solutions Consultants demonstrate how the L7 Informatics solutions drive relevant value utilizing specific use cases and supported by actual examples of customer successes. To justify the investment and improve the chances of conversion, Solutions Consultants also collaboratively estimate and articulate the expected value resulting from a business partnership with L7 Informatics.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct discovery sessions to understand and document prospective customer business processes and requirements
  • Determine how the L7 Informatics solution and product portfolio can best drive value relative to the documented requirements
  • Strategize with the Sales Director to develop and deliver compelling sales presentations
  • Present and demonstrate the relevant L7 Informatics solution(s) to audiences at various organizational levels including C-level executives
  • Build and present the business case for partnering with L7 Informatics by identifying and estimating the value of relevant use cases to be supported by the proposed solution
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle with prospects
  • Determine and document detailed requirements and deliverables within a Statement of Work working collaboratively with engineering, customer solutions and customer implementation teams
  • Develop and maintain multiple solution demonstration environments
  • Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and maintain a library of business and technical RFP questions and answers, documentation, and diagrams
  • Share product and industry insights with Product/Solution Management to help inform the L7 Informatics product roadmap
  • Advocate for and present L7 Informatics solutions in marketing webinars, customer conferences, and industry events
Position Requirements

Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum M.S or equivalent in Biological Sciences
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in the life sciences software industry
  • Must have deep understanding of life sciences processes, concepts, tools, and/or applications especially related Cell and Gene Therapy, Manufacturing / Quality Control, and Research
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills demonstrated by experience and references
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer presentation skills including the ability to build and manage PowerPoint presentations and other materials
  • Proven track record of producing high-quality deliverables in a timely manner while under high pressure
  • Solid understanding of software implementation practices
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time (when typical travel schedules resume)
