Share Email Opening Title Janitorial Specialist - 2nd Shift  Description Job Title: Janitorial Specialist 2nd Shift Department: Cultivation Reports to: Site Administrator FLSA Status: Regular- Non-Exempt Hours:  Mon-Fri /5 hr shifts /25 hrs per week Location: Clearwater, FL   Role Summary:  We are currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Janitorial Specialist. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, flexible, and willing to take on non-routine cleaning and special projects as the need arises. The Janitorial Specialist will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, and over areas within the facility. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Cleans and keeps up various surfaces and materials within a building or space Sweeps and mops floors Vacuums and steam clean carpets Washes windows Cleans and disinfects toilets and replenishes supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels Responds to urgent situations, such as spills, that require quick action Orders cleaning supplies and equipment and maintain an appropriate stock at all times Mixes liquids and solvents from basic materials to create effective cleaning supplies Operates and maintains equipment such as vacuums and floor cleaners Collects and removes trash from a building or space Makes minor repairs as necessary, including tasks such as changing light bulbs and notify of any leaks Notifies supervisor when major repairs, including structural issues or highly skilled tasks, are required Report any HVAC, plumbing, or electrical issues All other duties as assigned   Position Requirements SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS: 1-2 years of experience in housekeeping, janitorial, site clean-up, or relative roles Willingness to work late-night shifts Ability to work well under minimal supervision Capacity to take direction Strong attention to detail ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. High School Diploma Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 100 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater) Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise) WORK SCHEDULE: 40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs.
