We have an opening for at 3rd Shift Production Supervisor. Our 3rd shift works Monday - Thursday, 8 PM - 6:15 AM This working supervisor has overall responsibility for leading our growing third shift operation. Responsibilities: Assuring that the daily production schedules are accomplished by providing work direction to employees. Monitor, evaluate, and communicate daily production requirements to shop personnel. Proactively build teamwork amongst the plant employees and support staff to accomplish the departmental goals. Identify and resolve barriers and/or bottlenecks in the production processes while developing these same skills in the lead men. Work to develop cross-training abilities within the employees to be able to better manage the daily workload. Assure all safety standards are met; identify any potential hazards Monitor and report on quality issues, relative to purchased parts, manufactured components and welding, assembly, and paint quality Plan labor schedule/assignments based on production schedule requirements for GB shops. Coordinate availability of raw materials, tools, labor and departmental supplies to meet production needs. Demonstrate the LaForce Values on a daily basis Qualifications Minimum of an Associates Degree in Production Operations or related field. Two - Five years' experience in a manufacturing environment Ability to quickly determine cause of production, safety or quality problems and to draw valid conclusions to solve the problems. Ability to reach effective solutions in situations where a variety of variables are interacting and where only limit standardization exists. Ability to lead and coach a large number of employees with varying skill sets Ability to work and communicate effectively with co-workers and other varying levels in the organization. Ability to effectively work with large amounts of detailed information, in a deadline driven environment.
