JOB KNOWLEDGE: All Radiology Technologist postitions require good communication and organization skills, with a working knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications to adequately understand radiologist’s orders. All staff must have ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and ability to communicate medical information correctly and clearly.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Certification as a Registered Radiology Technologist R.T., ARRT (R)
- Current State of California License Radiology Technologist (CRT).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR in adult, child & infant are required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Moderate amount of lifting and positioning of patients and equipment. Position requires ability to constantly lift objects heavier than 30 pounds, perform difficult manipulative skills, walk and stand for prolonged periods. Position requires ability to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption and attend to tasks for 5 to 30 minutes at a time. Individuals must be able to understand and relate theories behind several related concepts and remember multiple tasks given to self and others over long periods of time.
HOURS: Radiology Technologists shifts are 4/10 hour work days, with variations as assigned by supervisor. Hours of operation are 6 am - 6 pm Monday - Friday.
