What you will do:

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT/COMMUNICATIONS

  • Manage all social media accounts for Fifth Group, our restaurants and Bold Catering and Design including planning, reporting and aligning the social media strategy with company priorities
  • Create original content and maintain an engaging presence on all Fifth Group social media channels and owned websites that aligns with each business unit's brand positioning
  • Create the annual Fifth Group social media strategy, budget, advertising plan and editorial calendar to support restaurant priorities includes tracking and accountability for the social media advertising budget to align with social media strategy for all business units
  • Set annual goals and success metrics for social media plan including follower counts, engagement metrics and direct ROI tracking
  • Continuously work to improve social media channel performance metrics to react to market conditions and provides feedback to operations
  • Act as the voice of the individual FGR businesses to market and promote all planned marketing activities (special events, promotions, local happening, etc.) on the relevant Fifth Group social channels, partner sites and owned websites
  • Manage the pipeline of restaurant content through the Social Media Ambassador program to create unit-generated content, including content assignments, account management, setting and reporting on KPIs, bi-monthly meetings, deadlines, budgets and deadlines for submission
  • Develop scope of work for social media deliverables deemed necessary from outside agency and work with team to create, update and post content by deadlines as outlined in SOW. This includes management of agency relationships and holding partners accountable for results
  • Use social listening tools to monitor and distribute guest-generated content and social insights to operations and restaurant managers when necessary (trending topics, bad reviews, questions about menu items, etc.)
  • Keep abreast of current trends by reading blogs, attending conferences, following industry thought-leaders, etc.

FGREWARDS LOYALTY PROGRAM

  • Manage all aspects of the FGRewards loyalty program including program strategy and future enhancements to the program and all promotions as outlined by the annual marketing plan
  • Manage all third party vendors directly associated with the loyalty program including opportunities to optimize the FGRewards online user experience at fifthgroup.com and implementing new products including collaborating with IT/developers/third parties
  • Work with operations team to execute FGRewards in-restaurant signup contests
  • Order and maintain stock of FGRewards plastic cards and backers
  • Manually adjust member points, rewards and profile information as directed
  • Maintain appropriate levels of membership cards and all support collateral

EMAIL MARKETING PROGRAMS

  • Manage all aspects of the Fifth Group Email Marketing Program including the automated FGRewards email program and weekly editorial newsletter - including planning, editorial calendar creation, tracking, reporting and data/automation enhancements
  • Create and execute an annual plan to grow email audience and improve the automated FGRewards email program
  • Support planned marketing promotions and Fifth Group priorities including gift card sales, special events, seasonal private dining, Hunger Walk fundraising, etc
  • Segment email audiences using information available through Aloha, OpenTable and other channels and use strategic segments to support business needs and marketing initiatives
  • Keep up with improvements and opportunities with email marketing software, implementing new functionality and technology into our email marketing strategy as available

CONTENT MANAGEMENT

  • Manage branded copy and content updates across all websites, including promos, chef bios, and contact info
  • Manage event and calendar listings across owned channels (Facebook, website) and partner channels
  • Create content for FGR channels to tell brand stories that support business goals
  • Set up digital channels upon opening new restaurants
  • Create and publish Bold case studies to highlight targeted events
  • Assist Marketing team in creating promotional materials through writing content and copyediting existing content
  • Maintain, monitor and optimize all restaurant and company online profiles on all third party websites ensuring the accuracy of pertinent information such as menus, photos, descriptions, hours of operation, directions, etc.
  • Manage accounts for operational employees on third party websites for restaurants (Sprinklr, Listen360, Yelp, TripAdvisor) and Bold (WeddingWire, The Knot)

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

  • Manage Fifth Group's charitable giving via gift cards and certificates, including identifying charities that align with Fifth Group, issuing approvals/rejections and distributing donations while staying within the monthly budget.
  • Maintain partnerships with local affiliate organizations including content distribution, program participation and event attendance to strengthen our role in the community and utilize strategic relationships for social media outreach and community engagement
  • Coordinate in-house experience focused community engagement events and auctions with restaurant leadership
  • Attend off-site events as a company representative as needed

MEDIA OUTREACH/PUBLIC RELATIONS

  • Accompany Director of Marketing to all relevant meetings (phone and in person)
  • Keep PR firm updated on all relevant special events and company activities and follow-up on questions or additional information
  • Field incoming media requests to Director of Marketing and/or PR firm

EVENT SUPPORT

  • Coordinate restaurant, manager or chef participation in offsite events, including sending calendar invites to relevant staff, communicating expectations/deliverables and identifying marketing opportunities.
  • Act as liaison between event organizer and each restaurant collecting and communicating all relevant information to the parties involved in a timely manner, including logistics, sponsorship requests/payments and comp tickets.
  • Work with restaurant teams to coordinate in-house events (communal dinners, wine tastings) including managing the creation of marketing collateral, setting up online ticketing, coordinating media attendance with PR, delivering final guest lists and reconciling payment with budget/accounting
  • Order and arrange for delivery of offsite event design materials including floral and linens from Bold Design, collecting and returning all materials after the event
  • Create and deliver support marketing materials to restaurant or event location (tri-folds, signage, comp cards, etc.)

GIFT CARDS

  • Management of the Fifth Group gift card program day to day activities
  • Maintain card and collateral inventory and re-order as necessary
  • Work with Accounting on sales reporting as directed by Director of Marketing
  • Manage egift card vendor to handle egift card sales, fulfillment, promotions and customer inquiries
  • Manage trade advertising payments
  • Issue promotional gift cards as requested

OFFICE ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

  • Implementation of the employee anniversary recognition program, including running monthly reports, loading gift cards, coordinating signatures, and delivery
  • Maintain stock of marketing collateral
  • Handle paper/toner ordering for Marketing printer
  • Source materials as needed for Marketing projects

Position Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or other relevant field
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in business, marketing communications or related professional area
  • Experience managing social media advertising campaigns including reporting
  • Experience in using innovative communication tools (email marketing, social listening and social automation)
  • Knowledge and experience in social media networking tools and marketing.
  • Prior experience with luxury or lifestyle brands preferred
  • Prior experience in foodservice, hospitality or experiential marketing preferred

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

Marketing coordinator must have a working knowledge of the following computer programs:

  • Sprout Social or similar social media management tools
  • MyEmma or similar email marketing tools
  • WordPress
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Video editing capabilities a plus
  • Familiarity with Google AdWords a plus
