Locum physician(s) wanted to join group of experienced family physicians and nurse practitioners in a congenial and supportive work environment.

Position Requirements

Education

  • Medical degree from an accredited university, with additional certification in Family Medicine.
  • License to practice with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

Professional Experience

  • Three to five years full-time primary care experience; experience in a community-based setting or combination of community and hospital or public health settings, an asset. **New graduates are encouraged to apply.**
  • Experience and interest in working with marginalized and diverse clientele, such as low-income, high-needs, newcomer, and a variety of multicultural communities.
  • Experience in a non-profit, community-based organization an asset.

Key Competencies

  • Thorough knowledge of and proficiency in current physical assessment and treatment methods.
  • Ability to apply health promotion concepts, strategies, and philosophy.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant community resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to model “client centred” service delivery.

  • Sensitivity to the needs of marginalized and diverse clientele.
  • Commitment to health promotion concepts, strategies, and philosophy.

Salary Range $135.33/hour - $156.72/hour
