Job Title : Development Associate

Reports To : President/CEO

Department : Executive

 

I. Summary of Position - Provides assistance to the President/CEO and Senior Vice President as assigned by performing the following: administrative assistance to the board and its activities, assists with publications, volunteerism, and special events planning, creates and maintains a favorable public image for the Agency. Assures assigned goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame by performing the job responsibilities personally.

II. Performance Responsibilities - Although each position has its own unique duties and responsibilities, the following listing applies to every employee of CarePlus NJ:

  • Works toward accomplishing and adheres to department/Agency goals, ethical standards and the laws and regulations which govern the overall mental and healthcare industries
  • Maintains confidentiality and immediately reports to management breaches in confidentiality
  • Practices job requirements on an accurate, timely and regular basis
  • Observes and maintains appropriate professional boundaries with clients, co-workers and supervisors
  • Attends all scheduled meetings as assigned
  • Meets relevant continuing educational/training requirements
  • Completes all required documentation/paperwork accurately and within established time-frames
  • Accurately and on a timely basis completes tasks required by the Agency’s time collection system
  • Fulfills all CPNJ mandatory requirements, as required by CPNJ
  • Knowledgeable of, and practices the organization’s health and safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to fire safety and emergency preparedness, infection control procedures and incident reporting

 

III. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Includes the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Provides support to the President/CEO as directed.
  • Plans, coordinates, and implements special events such as fundraisers, celebrations and Foundation related gatherings
  • Assists Foundation with strategic planning and program development
  • Assists with marketing goals
  • Supports the CarePlus Foundation Board of Trustees
  • Represents CarePlus at community, social and business gatherings
  • Provides support in program related performance improvement processes and activities
  • Enters and maintains specific data, logs and databases and prepares reports from data collected
  • Coordinates meetings, prepares agendas and records minutes
  • Performs other development and/or administrative duties, as assigned

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Preferred at least two years of development/administrative experience

    Language Ability:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, consumers, and the general public

    Computer Skills:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software; internet software and electronic health records database software

    VI. Certificates and Licenses:
  • Valid driver's license required and must be insurable by agency's automobile insurance

Operating out of over 23 sites - including three outpatient centers located in Paramus, Fair Lawn, and Montclair, ten residential facilities, offices at three local hospitals, and seven community offices - our services are convenient to clients located throughout Northern New Jersey. We also provide educational programs on mental health-related topics to area schools and community groups.
