Adolescent Services Manager  

Description

Children/Adolescent Services is looking for a full-time manager with dual responsibilities of supervising the PACES (Pathway to Academic and Career Exploration to Success) program in addition to being the sole clinician, while assisting with administrative tasks, for the Strive for Independence programs. 

Job summary

PACES:

  • Provides weekly supervision to PACES staff with case management and administrative needs.
  • Reviews staff documentation, monthly reports and adherence to the PACES Practice Profile.
  • Assists with hiring process for program staff, training new employees and completing annual staff reviews.
  • Maintains youth list and assignment of clients.
  • Develops and enhances client’s academic skills, assists clients in applying to colleges, trade schools, financial aid, etc.
  • Assists young adults to secure and maintain employment, including job searches, resume building, roleplaying interviews, etc.
  • Teaches and models soft skills training in areas of communication, professionalism, organization, study skills, self-advocacy, etc.  
  • Maintains communication with system partners, including OAS, DCPP, schools, etc. and represents the program and agency.
  • Participates in OAS meetings with coaches and managers.

 

Strive programs:

  • Carries a client case load for three Strive programs of 27 youth with varying levels of required engagement.
  • Provides individual, group therapy and participates in treatment team meetings.
  • Works collaboratively with internal and external sources to assure the program needs are met.
  • Assures service goals and objectives are accomplished within designated time frames.
  • Completes treatment goals and assessments for all program clients.
  • Communicates with DCA staff and landlords and assists with administrative tasks to assist clients with their housing needs.
  • Attends program, agency and system partner meetings to represent the program.
  • Participates in client interviews, moving in clients, conducting apartment inspections and assisting in crisis situations.
  • Participates in Children and Family Division manager meetings
 
Position Requirements
  • Minimum of provisional professional license (LSW, LAC)
  • Master’s degree in Social Work or Psychology
  • Two years’ experience providing services to children and families in crisis and/or educational process
  • Must be a strong team player
  • Educational Planning skills
  • Employment Knowledge skills
  • Job requires manager on-call
  • Valid driver's license required and must be insurable by agency's
