About the Organization SRG is a Washington, D.C. based restaurant company. We create original concepts and help real estate developers, hoteliers and commercial property owners enhance the value of their food and beverage real estate. Privately owned, it is led by industry veterans Desmond Reilly, Kristopher Carr, and Stu Damon. Founded in 1998 and repurposed in 2013, SRG’s core business is the development and operations of three restaurant concepts, The Walrus Oyster & Ale House, CHICKEN + WHISKEY, and doi moi all located in the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. SRG is currently executing its full service and fast casual growth strategy.

Location The Walrus Oyster and Ale House - Columbia  
  • Createa warm and inviting welcome for our guests and establish memorable first impressions
  • Work with other team members as well as management to create a seamless and memorable experience for our guests
  • Maintain high knowledge of the food menu to answer guests questions and describe items in an enthralling way while upselling sides, beverages, etc.
  • Enter food and beverage orders via POS efficiently and properly
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions with accuracy
  • Maintain outdoor dining areas; take out the trash, clean the tables, sweep
  • Organize and maintain various equipment and machinery at the station
  • Follow food safety, health code, sanitation, and quality assurance procedures
  • Attend educational/developmental sessions as required

Position Requirements
    • Proficient in English speaking skills
    • Ability to provide top notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
    • A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with other staff.
    • Stand and work in constant motion for the entire shift
    • Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
    • Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
    • Be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
    • Previous cashier experience in a restaurant or other facility (Preferred)
    • Able and willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays (Preferred)



  • Competente en habilidades de habla inglesa
