Job Summary

The Account Executive, Corporate Partnerships develops collaborative, creative, and data-driven partnerships, helping brands/companies deliver business results as a team. This role is responsible for prospecting, selling, and closing corporate partnerships and premium hospitality for the organization. The Account Executive has expert knowledge of the B2B sales process and builds genuine relationships quickly, thinks critically and creatively, and drives sales. This role is instrumental in driving new revenue for the organization through new business and upsells of current relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all aspects of the sales process to drive revenue through corporate partnerships and premium hospitality.
  • Heavy emphasis on New Business prospecting, cultivating relationships, developing solutions, and negotiating deals.
  • Achieve and exceed established sales goals and budgets, both individual and team goals.
  • Conduct discovery meetings with prospects and partners to gain critical insights that will drive proposal and solution development.
  • Work with Partnership Strategy, Activation, Business Intelligence, and department leaders to develop unique, customized partnerships and solutions that will drive business results. Utilize all team members during meetings and presentations.
  • Think critically about our business and process, and propose creative, new ideas that will enhance all aspects of the B2B team.
  • Manage and report all sales activity through CRM, weekly sales reports, and consistent communication.
  • Work with assigned partnership activation team members to assist in execution, as needed.
  • Collaborate with premium and ticketing departments to identify opportunities for increased revenue, in the form of sponsorships and/or hospitality packages.
  • Establish strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
  • Effectively represent the Pirates brand throughout the community and sports industry.
  • Other duties as assigned by department leadership.
 
Position Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year university.
  • Experience in sports, entertainment, marketing, media, or advertising sales.

Desired:

  • Minimum of two (2) years sales experience, preferably in professional or collegiate sports, sports league, entertainment, sports agency, or media.
