Description

SUMMARY:

The primary function of this position is to provide administrative support to the Human Resources Manager and department including recruiting, new hire onboarding, employee hours and benefit administration, and employee relations. This position is also responsible for maintaining overall front desk activities, including the stocking of supplies, mail sorting, visitor clearance, answering and directing calls and performing miscellaneous clerical duties as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages site reception duties, to include badge handling and processing, visitor control and physical security management
  • Responsible for maintaining overall front desk activities, mail and purchasing of general office & miscellaneous supplies
  • Responsible for coordinating company sponsored/special events and logistical support for corporate/customer visits
  • Orders and maintains office supplies within budgeted limits and pursues cost reductions
  • Inducts all visitors and new hires in the site Security protocols
  • Assists in investigations of losses and security violations
  • Assists with new hire and benefit orientations for personnel and prepares employee personnel files
  • Updates and maintains daily/weekly/monthly reports, as well as, data analysis
  • Assists with the preparation of the annual performance review process
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process, including scheduling candidate interviews and submitting requests for candidate background checks
  • Schedules meetings, training events and coordinates special employee relations events as requested
  • Maintains, updates, and organizes employee personnel and other human resources files and information as needed
  • Ensures compliance with visitor registration and related policies
  • Makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions as needed
  • Responsible for distribution of incoming and outgoing mail
  • Sorts, distributes, and opens mail. Determines the level of priority.
  • May assist with scheduling/tracking/coordinating employee training
  • May handle confidential information
  • Travel between local facilities as required
  • Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Adheres to all quality and safety standards
  • Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility listed above satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required

EDUCATION

High school or equivalent (Required); Associates degree in a relevant field preferred;

WORK EXPERIENCE

Two to three years of experience in a human resource assistant role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
