Senior Advisor - Workplace Strategist

The Senior Advisor - Workplace will serve as a thought leader and collaborate closely with members of The Clearing's leadership and delivery teams to ensure excellent client delivery, proper representation of TC brand and service offerings, and meet defined company growth objectives. Specific responsibilities may vary and include:

  • Help define and lead the development of new and innovative workplace products and service offerings that compliment existing capabilities

  • Help grow the workplace practice by providing leadership in business development (net new, and existing clients) in service of growing the workplace practice

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to staff to assist in their career development to support the growth of the workplace team

  • Apply expert functional knowledge and experience to assigned projects and/or processes, providing expertise and support to multiple project teams simultaneously

  • Analyze complex client problems and, work with TC internal project teams, recommend, monitor, and execute best practice solutions for clients; be accountable for customer satisfaction and success

  • Maintain current knowledge of developments in relevant area(s)of expertise and create channels for sharing this across the firm

  • Meet key performance metrics, prescribed by The Clearing on an annual basis, related to utilization and business growth, creating follow-on and new client opportunities

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree preferred

  • A minimum of 15 years of operational, functional, and/or policy experience directly related to area of expertise is required

  • A minimum of 10 years of workplace strategy experience

  • Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), AutoCAD and Revit


  • Demonstrated success in business development

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing workplace strategies

  • Strong competency in design thinking

  • Strong group facilitation skills with the ability to leverage and infuse various engagement techniques and strategies

  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis

  • Client/customer focus with a sense of urgency to deliver quality work

  • Ability to manage and collaborate well with a team, and to remain flexible in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Knowledge Management: Pause and teach consultants on project work quality, including application of TC's methodologies and frameworks, developing the next set of project leaders

  • Client Advisory: Advise clients in one-on-one conversations, using proven methods and experience, with an appreciation for who they are and the environment they are managing

  • Collaborative Deliverables Creation: Lead the development of impactful client deliverables guided by Solution product standards; enable effective communication to achieve goals

  • Structure Development: Evolve TC processes and structures to mature our capacity as a firm and meet emerging market needs


While performing duties of this job, an employee may be required to perform any, or all of the following: Attend meetings in and out of the office, travel (sometimes extensively); Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand; Communicate effectively (both orally and in writing); Ability to effectively use computers and other electronic and standard office equipment; Occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Work is primarily sedentary and involves sitting for several hours at a time. Occasionally walking, climbing stairs, and standing occur in this role. Additionally, this job requires certain mental demands, including the ability to use judgement, withstand moderate amounts of stress and maintain attention to detail.
