Marketing Strategist

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Responsible for assisting in the implementation of strategic communication and marketing plans, client proposals and presentations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing & Communications:

  • Direct and supervise the development of major proposals, presentations, and collateral materials.
  • Train and assist project teams to make effective presentations.
  • Collaborate with and provide direct support to business development teams in creating strategies, differentiation techniques and presentations to clients.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies that help achieve sales, profitability, and customer retention consistent with the strategic marketing plan.
  • Manage consultants and third-party vendors in the successful execution of external electronic communication campaigns, including video and social media.
  • Coordinate trade show activity for the company for all core niches, including registrations, booth/exhibit scheduling, pre-marketing activities, and post-tradeshow activities. May also include attending tradeshows as a staff member at the Russell exhibit.
  • Perform market research, as needed.
  • Responsible for the marketing development, maintenance and regular updates of the Russell website and other online presences.
  • Manage internal apparel and promotional store.
  • Plan and execute client-facing events.
  • Perform additional assignments as requested by the President, Director of Growth, Business Development and/or Executive Team.
 
Position Requirements

Four-year degree plus a minimum of three (3) year of experience in communications or marketing. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft software including: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Proficiency with the Adobe Design Suite, including InDesign strongly preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organization are essential.
