What You'll Do

HomeGauge is looking for a Strategic Projects Manager to manage strategic projects and initiatives that will help drive the next phase of growth and transformation for the company. You will work closely with HomeGauge leaders and subject matter experts across the company in all departments including Finance, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Support and Operations. You will leverage your excellent leadership, problem solving, and communication skills to work through challenging problems and create tremendous value for the company. In addition to managing project teams, you will be required to roll up your sleeves as required to assist with execution, and to coach project team members. Typical projects you will be asked to manage include major product launches, business process improvement, complex systems implementation, and various other large cross-functional initiatives.

Over time, as your careers develops with HomeGauge, your responsibilities will increase until the point where you have full responsibility for the success of major projects, and you will have the opportunity to build out a team and/or take on other responsibilities at the company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage large strategic projects and initiatives for HomeGauge:
    • Consult with stakeholders from multiple teams to understand project goals, explore the root cause of challenges, and define the problem and project scope
    • Explore, develop, and propose high-level solutions and project plans to stakeholders for approval
    • Execute and oversee project implementation, coordinating team members to deliver projects on-time and on-budget
    • Communicate project status and escalate issues as appropriate with stakeholders and others; ensure during decision-making that tradeoffs and priorities are well understood
    • Facilitate change management by analyzing processes and people impacts; create and execute plans to onboard and communicate regularly with affected stakeholders and teams
    • Efficiently and seamlessly transfer support and maintenance of new technologies and processes to appropriate teams at project closure
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently with varying degrees of scope and urgency
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships across the organization to ensure cooperation and ability to enlist expertise as needed
  • Identify and champion new projects that will deliver tremendous value for HomeGauge
  • Be a subject matter expert in project management and coach colleagues implementing smaller initiatives
 
Position Requirements

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum of 5 years’ project management experience, ideally in strategy consulting, IT consulting, SaaS Rev Ops or a similar role in another high-growth technology company
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and systems preferred
  • Excellent consultation and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
  • A background of demonstrable success
