the role:

The role of Talent Acquisition Manager (TAM) is filled by an individual who comprehends, believes in, works from and represents Fifth Group Restaurants' (FGR) vision statement, which includes our values, purpose and mission. The TAM must have a broad understanding of the restaurant/hospitality industry.

The TAM is responsible for leading and coordinating recruiting programs for all levels of positions and helping FGR to continue to hire the most caring, intelligent and talented people in the hospitality business. This includes working with the VP of People and Culture to develop strategies that differentiate FGR within the hospitality industry with a focus on new technologies including social recruiting, sourcing platforms (MyStaffingPro) and candidate engagement.


  • Establish personal networks as well as create, manage and execute proactive recruiting plans, with guidance from and collaboration with the VP of People and Culture, to attract and recruit various salaried positions and to source hourly employees for all of Fifth Group's business entities by using traditional and non-traditional local and national vehicles such as, internet postings, career expos, print advertising, and other identified local and national industry/specialty sites, culinary school relationships, social media sites, etc.
  • Responsible for communicating with individual restaurants, departments and catering divisions on a weekly basis, or as needed, regarding their hourly employee needs.
  • Manage recruiting events, such as monthly open calls, including: planning, communication, advertising, partnering with marketing and overseeing the event.
  • Maintain accurate, up to date job openings on FGR web site as well as on other applicable sites.
  • Produce regular, detailed reports outlining all recruiting activities and results against established recruiting metrics.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified, diverse candidates for current and future openings.
  • Remain current with hospitality recruiting trends, as well as local hospitality and recruiting networking opportunities, workshops, industry publications and professional organizations.
  • Manage posting optimization, build and maintain relationships with external recruiting partners and vendors. Monitor and work to increase efficiencies and reduce cost of the TA process.
  • Maintain and update current recruiting and hiring platforms: job description library in MSP, user administration in Cisive and MSP, etc.

Interviewing and Hiring

  • Review all incoming resumes and inquiries for salaried positions responding accordingly (decline or interview).
  • Analyze candidate assessments (Predictive Index) and provide insight to hiring managers
  • Provide detailed written candidate assessment when presenting candidates to other managers involved in the hiring process.
  • Manage and facilitate the full-cycle recruiting process for all exempt openings, including posting requisition, intake meeting with hiring manager, screening and presenting qualified candidates, scheduling interviews and stages, background checks, reference checks, offer letters and electronic onboarding process.
  • Distribute and maintain reporting for key stakeholders on the recruiting process, including candidate progress and additional metrics (time to fill, cost per hire, etc.)
  • Ensure positive candidate experience with high touch interaction with candidate throughout the interview and onboarding process.
  • Participate in interview process for the internal LEAD (Leadership, Exploration and Development) program.

On Boarding and Training

  • Organize and Coordinate training schedule and start date for newly hired salaried employees with the Dir. of Operations or other appropriate person.
  • Compile competitive compensation / benefits information as needed for all salaried positions resulting in recommendations to the partners.
  • Responsible for staying in touch and communicating information with new hires, prior to their start date.
  • Monitor and ensure completion of electronic onboarding, background check, I-9 and e-verify prior to start date for exempt positions.


  • Expected to have honest, open communication with and provide necessary and meaningful feedback and information to staff, managers and Partners.
  • Maintain job board career sites such as Glassdoor,, LinkedIn with current photos and branding.

Position Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

4+ Years in a Talent Acquisition Manager role, strong preference for restaurant & hospitality

Innovative Recruiting and Networking, including strong social media proficiency

Strong Interviewer and Listener

Solid written and verbal communication

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and applicant tracking tools

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Occasional periods of standing for 4-5 hours for hiring events
