Description

Responsible for managing the activities of the maintenance department to keep the equipment and building infrastructure in a proper state of repair. Increase OEE, reduce mechanical downtime and keep product flow and production lines running at maximum efficiency. Responsible for the development and implementation of maintenance systems associated with High Performing Manufacturing Organizations (Preventive/Predictive Maintenance, TPM, etc.)

Responsible for the development and implementation of maintenance systems associated with High Performing Manufacturing Organizations (Preventive/Predictive Maintenance, TPM, etc.) Proper scheduling of work to fit maximum amount completed with minimal plant downtime. These systems will provide maximum plant capacity, while minimizing cost. The result is reduced unscheduled downtime creating higher department/plant efficiency. Develop and implement improved strategies, policies and procedures that align with initiatives to drive OEE and cost containment program improvements while reducing maintenance repair budget, MRO inventory levels, and maintenance spending. Accountable for providing long term solutions and day-to-day support to all operating teams having issues with troubleshooting, problem analysis, equipment failures, etc. Ensure the smooth daily operative of the plant with minimal repetitive issues. Identify and provide training as needed for department to improve kills levels in the maintenance functions to improve knowledge and accountability for all staff.

Possess a strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, refrigeration, hydraulic, and boiler systems. Knowledge of State and Federal regulations with regard to FDA, OSHA, and EPA regulatory requirements in a manufacturing setting. Knowledge and/or experience with sanitary design and packaging equipment. Strong managerial, organizational, and communication skills. Able to lead resource planning efforts in a large manufacturing environment. Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work order process, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, etc. Superior equipment troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Must be people oriented and have the ability to interface with employees at all levels of the organization by utilizing excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
