Description

ZenResolve is a third-party debt collection agency who is disrupting the collections industry.  We do things differently than other collections companies by offering support, flexibility, and privacy. We believe in a softer approach to collecting and work to make it a pleasant experience. 

We changed the collection experience by transferring the power of choice to the customer. Customers decide how and when their debt is resolved by selecting their own repayment plan. We are, after all, a collections company, and it is in our very nature to resolve outstanding debt. We just do it in a much kinder, gentler way.

As a Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for working in an IT-related role for ZenResolve’s Collections team.  You will support our receivables management software by performing entry-level to advanced configuration (as skills mature) and along with the team make sure the business component runs smoothly. Under supervision, you will be responsible for communication to and from vendors. You will work closely with other analysts who will train you to use collection, database, and reporting programs. You will develop SQL-based reports used by Client Services and Collection Operations team members. You will be expected to work independently, monitoring KPIs and digging into the data when there are problems.

 

Areas of expertise should include:

  • Teamwork – The company is small; the team is small.  But the mission is of great importance!  To accomplish it, everyone, including our President must work as one!!
  • Communication – You should be able to communicate with systems users of various levels of the company, from call center agents to upper management.
  • Technology – Strong SQL and Excel skills are required.
  • Prioritization – You should be able to align with priorities as provided and be nimble and autonomous enough to adjust as priorities change.
  • Analysis – You should have strong competency in analyzing both data and processes, and report on findings appropriately.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Reports – Build reports in SQL and out collections system (primary COTS package) to track and monitor KPI’s.
  • Vendor Management – Communicate with vendors about technical and other issues as they arise.
  • Systems – Add new campaigns, clients, vendors, etc. to system as needed and maintain them.
  • Workflows – Build and maintain workflows to drive system processes.
  • Projects –Assist (contribution to increase as skill level rises) other IT analysts and Zen business teammates on small and large projects to enhance collections system in three primary areas: Workflows (Activiti), Drools logic, and Optimus code. 
  • Problem Solving – Dig into questions and problems as they arise through reports, SQL queries, and other resources.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Real-world business systems experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems or similar.
  • Strong SQL and Excel skills required.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills (integrations, FTP, workflows, IT Business Analysis, data reconciliation, etc.)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with call center operations including work queues and dialing strategies.
  • Experience with system conversions and implementations.
  • Knowledge of a project management tool such as Jira.
  • Experience with the technical configuration of financial software Custom Off the Shelf (COTS) packages – especially those of a non-enterprise variety.  Those used at small to mid-sized companies preferred.
  • Expertise with a receivables management system such as CSS Impact, Artiva, FACS, DAKCS, or similar.
  • Experience using BPMN tools such as Activiti
  • Experience in Collections
