As a Data Architect you will focus on building and managing our Soaren data platform that combines internal, vendor, and external data into a centralized repository (AWS technology stack) and enables consumption across the organization to support various operational, marketing, and advanced analytics. Support organizational data evolution roadmap that includes data ingestion, storage, reporting, data science analytics. You would be working on our Data Strategy team while interacting across multiple departments.
Primary Responsibilities Include
- Focus on building and managing internal data platform to organize internal, vendor, and external data into a centralized repository (AWS technology stack)
- Support organizational data evolution roadmap that includes data ingestion, storage, reporting, data science analytics
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations manage data platform technical design and consumption
- Recommend and drive innovative solutions while anticipating the future direction of the business, its drivers and technology strategy
- Review and ensure architectural designs are consistent, maintainable, flexible and cost effective
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Business, Information Systems, Information Technology (IT) or Computer Science
- 10+ years of experience in designing and developing data modeling with a minimum of 3 of those years specializing in big data architecture or data analytics
- Expertise in traditional/on premise data warehouse, data management, data migration and data store design/implementation with significant experience designing/deploying the same in cloud environments
- Expertise in the following Environments/Tools including AWS, Database Migration Service, Data Pipeline, Glue, Schema Conversion Tools, S3, EMR, Hive, Stitch, Spark, Python, Aurora, Athena, Kafka/Confluent, Kinesis, Power BI, Snowflake, Redshift, TensorFlow, AutoML, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence (Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Bots, Voice Integration, etc.)
- Experience building data products incrementally and integrating and managing datasets from multiple sources
- Broad based architecture acumen: Database architecture, ETL, Cloud, etc.
- Coding proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Spark, etc)
- Understanding of database and analytical technologies in the industry including MPP databases, BI reporting, Dashboard development and NoSQL storage
- Demonstrated skill in critical thinking and problem solving methods
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Mathematics, Business, Information Systems, Information Technology (IT) or Computer Science
- AWS Solutions Architect Certification
- Ability to evaluate and plan migrations to Amazon Redshift
- Data modeling, consumption analytics modeling in Fintech industry
