Seeking to hire a Full Time Psychiatric Emergency Support Specialist for PESP

Job summary

  • Monitoring and supervision of patients in the Screening Center
  • Provide crisis outreach
  • Answering crisis hotline
  • Assessment under the supervision of a Certified Mental Health Screener
  • Crisis intervention counseling; on and off site
  • Conduct Bed Search for involuntary clients
  • Arranging for a consumer's discharge or transfer out of the screening service
  • Determining whether the consumer has executed an Advance Directive for Mental Health Care
  • Arranging for a consumer's appropriate transport to a receiving facility
  • Required to work various schedules; comprised of day, evening, overnight and weekend hours.

Qualifications

  • MA degree in a Mental Health related field OR
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Mental Health discipline and 2 + years' experience in a psychiatric setting
  • Must have the ability to handle crisis situations, in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under Agency's automobile insurance policy
