1. Assists individuals of the residential program with daily living activities and personal hygiene (eating, bathing, grooming, etc.).
2. As needed or assigned, awaken individuals in the morning or after rest periods, to ensure participation in program activities.
3. Encourage and monitor individual's participation in the daily program schedule and recreational activities.
4. Transport or escort individuals to and from the program and community activities.
5. Observes individuals at all times, as a precaution against wandering or entering restricted areas.
6. Lifts or otherwise mobilizes individuals as needed or provides assistance with lifting.
7. Interact with individuals to assist with daily living, ensuring compliance with CMCSB's Employee Code of Ethics.
8. Perform necessary housekeeping activities to ensure the facility is clean and sanitary.
9. Assists nursing staff in obtaining pertinent information, such as collecting demographic information on the individuals, taking vital signs, etc.
10. Respond to medical emergencies and other potential crisis situations (verbal or physical) by utilizing agency approved methods, (i.e., CPR, universal precautions, CPI, and other approved procedures).
11. Assist clinical staff in carrying out daily program schedule by supervising individuals in assigned educational or recreational activities.
12. Provide help to the Food Services Department as requested, and prepares meals as assigned.
13. Adhere to all policies and procedures of Cumberland Mountain Community Services, the rules and regulations of the DBHDS and the Code of Virginia, and observe expectations of the employee code of ethics.
14. Travel to another agency location as directed by immediate supervisor.
15. Perform relevant job duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Mobilize community resources on behalf of the individual receiving services.
2. Increase community awareness of services for individuals with substance use disorders.
