The Enterprise Applications Developer is responsible for providing operational support, maintenance, and development activities for credit union business applications under the direction of the Enterprise Applications Manager. The position requires in-depth hands-on technical expertise as well as research abilities. The developer is responsible for daily maintenance and troubleshooting tasks as well as research and development on long term solutions for the credit union. The position will work closely with one or more contract development resources and may occasionally provide direction to contractors. This position also focuses on:

  • Provide hands-on research and development serving as the primary technical resource to the IT Application team to deliver IT services. Works closely with all other personnel in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and implementing specific information technologies that support the business plans and IT strategies.
  • Respond to Service Incidents pertaining to Enterprise Applications and adhere to all SLAs as defined by IT leadership Monitor performance of production Enterprise
    Applications and ensure that jobs and workflows function according to specification and that issues are corrected in a timely manner adhering to SLAs as defined by IT leadership. Provides ongoing troubleshooting, support, and maintenance of applications, including 24/7 on call coverage as required.
  • Work closely with contract development resources to develop, deliver and maintain new and existing Enterprise Applications for the credit union. Provide occasional feedback on vendor performance as well as guidance from a senior development perspective.
  • Keeps abreast of new and emerging development technologies and make recommendations to IT leadership on best practices and potential future implementations.
  • Document and publish reference and training materials for new and existing Enterprise Applications.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Follows established company policies and procedures, including but not limited to: Sarbanes Oxley controls, Business Ethics and Standard of Conduct, Electronic Communications, Confidentiality and Privacy.
 
Position Requirements

EXPERIENCE: Eight + years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience in Technology Implementations/Software Development with preferably four years in financial institutions.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: A college degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.

OTHER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Strong knowledge of Azure, Office 365, SharePoint, and Power BI. • Strong knowledge of business process management applications. K2, Power Automate experience a plus. • Strong knowledge of business application development in C#.net, SQL Server, DB2. • Experience in a variety of data integration technologies – ETL, flat files, XML, SOAP, etc. • Knowledge and understanding of goals and the inter-dependencies of functional departments and groups (in Financial Institutions) and the ability to lead large-scale complex IT projects in addressing overall business needs • Knowledge of informational technology disciplines; e.g., software applications and interfaces, production operations, quality assurance and systems management, etc. • Strong knowledge of project management process and systems, AGILE/SCRUM/ITIL/ITSM • Excellent written, oral, instructional, presentation, and interpersonal skills focused on motivation and positive attitude • Highly self-motivated, directed, and change oriented • Ability to handle confrontation with appropriate grace, professionalism, cordiality, and firmness, and manage/resolve disputes appropriately.

 
Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time  
Compensation $62,958 - $94,437  
Bondability Employment at Blue Federal Credit Union is contingent upon successful bondability.
