Description

JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administrative

  • Provides supplemental support for General Manager
  • Coordinates special projects assigned by General Manager
  • Establishes and maintains rapport with vendors
  • Ensures budgetary guidelines are followed
  • Assist Administrative Assistant in payroll and HR as directed.

 

Personnel Management

  • Assists with recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training and evaluating of staff
  • Assists with processing payroll to corporate office
  • Supervises seasonal supervisors
  • Acting Person in charge when General Manager not on site

Training and Safety

  • Work in a safe manner at all times. Know and understand the Work Safety Rules of the Company.
  • Ensure that all supervisors receive training so that they can enforce compliance with their staff.

Customer Relations

  • Maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction in all aspects of the operations
  • Empower staff to exceed the guests’ expectations whenever possible
  • Ensure every employee is polite, helpful and courteous to the customers
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum high school education plus two years or more of college or equivalent education.
  • 3+ years in marina/recreational related position and a minimum of 3 years experience in managerial or supervisory work.
  • Strong decision making and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to give direction and problem-solve.
  • Ability to use a computer including word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail functions
  • Understanding of budgets and accounting.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean 3-year history and no DUI convictions in the past 5 years.
  • Willing and able to work weekends and holidays
  • Able to work in varying weather conditions
  • Reliable transportation
