Share Email Opening Title Senior Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Specialist  Category Other   Description This effort will assist in creating a network of likeminded allies and partners with increased threat reduction capabilities that contribute and advance the interests and security of the United States of America. It will assist in building strategic relationships with key international partners that enhance threat reduction on a global scale. And, it will also support the resilience of the global nonproliferation framework by building partner capacities to enforce the tenants of that framework. Description: The Senior EOD Specialist will be the tactical and technical explosive expert. EODs are trained, equipped, and integrated to attack, defeat, and exploit unexploded ordnance, improvised explosive devices, chemical, biological, and nuclear ordnance, and weapons of mass destruction (WMD). Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To: Locate, identify, disarm, and dispose of all explosive ordnance. Participate in intelligence gathering operations. Prepare and maintain EOD tools, equipment, and vehicles. Research and identify ordnance. Dispose of hazardous ordnance. May use advanced robotics. May train others in IED awareness. May support very important persons (VIP) missions for various federal agencies. Assist with proposal development, if necessary. Perform other duties, as assigned.   Position Requirements Experience: Ten (10)+ years’ related experience. Must be able to demonstrate considerable functional subject matter expertise in the area of explosive ordnance disposal (EOD). Experience with DOS or DoD desired. Education: MA/MS degree desired. Other Required Skills & Abilities: Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Must be capable of working with no oversite. Security Clearance: Secret security clearance. Top Secret security clearance highly desired.
