2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drives execution in the factory as a support function and resource for assigned business unit team
  • Execution of scheduled work by managing productivity and sequencing of work in respective areas/work cells
  • Production employee management
  • Cross training
  • Build Quality
  • Performance Management
  • Directs and sets priorities for Manufacturing floor by prioritizing production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply
  • Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives
  • Control and manage WIP throughout the factory
  • Makes budgetary recommendations and at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor
  • Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas
  • Proficient in Lean Manufacturing Techniques
  • Identify risks to schedule and revenue target
  • Strives to reduce expenses and productivity across all product lines
  • Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity

Minimum Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related field plus a minimum of 5 years direct industry experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of people leadership experience required.
  • Must be able to support standard 2nd shift hours: Monday – Friday, 2pm – 10:30pm; additional support before and/or after standard hours, and on weekends, may be required to satisfy business needs.
  • Occasional domestic or international travel may be required to support business needs.
