Purpose

LaForce is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to manage projects from start to completion.

Major Responsibilities

  • Balance the needs of the customer with the needs of our business regarding profitability and performance
  • Negotiate with customers on pricing issues and problems
  • Read blueprints, specifications, and building codes and interrelate all three
  • Communicate with product, accounting, and logistics departments
  • Communicate in email, phone, and face to face with customers, architects, suppliers, and other entities.
  • Successfully deal with vendors to get maximum discounts or gain trade-offs
  • Use CAD effectively

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
