Salary Range 13.50/hr

Scheduled Days Tuesday - Saturday 

Scheduled Hours 6:30am - 3:00pm

Job Summary:

Provide assistance to the management team to include all administrative duties, scheduling, general correspondence, presentation and meeting prep, travel and special event planning.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide the highest standards of customer service to lab employees and outside customers
  • Route incoming mail, calls and other correspondence
  • Arrange and coordinate meetings, travel and reservations
  • Organize, maintain, and file correspondence and other records
  • Answer, screen and relay telephone calls
  • Coordinate planning, assist with meeting agenda prep and events to include refreshments scheduling and email invitations.
  • Conduct research, compile, and assemble statistical reports for the Lab Manager as well as other lab leadership.
  • Record and transcribe meeting minutes and notes
  • Make copies of correspondence or other printed materials
  • Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes
  • Maintain supplies and ensuring items well stocked
  • Maintain positive and open communication with all employees
  • Assist with recruiting to include review of resumes, performing phone screens with applicants, organizing applicants, updating databases and setting up in person interviews and Mellina profiles.
  • Perform sample login and data entry into the LIMS system
  • Must have a safe driving record and be qualified to drive for FSNS to perform courier duties or other driving duties for the company, as needed
  • Assisting with managing priorities and schedule such that individual goals as well as team goals are achieved with encouraged participation in the Food Safety Net Services Team
  • Responsible for the safety of oneself and others working within their area
  • Responsible for the completion of required training

Supervision:

  • This role has no supervisory responsibilities
 
Position Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • One year of experience in business, administrative positions, customer relations, and data entry
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Proven ability to meet quality and quantity goals preferred
  • Strong attention to detail required

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and to handle other communications/computer components
  • Potential exposure to odors, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, and microbiological pathogens
  • Working knowledge of LIMS is preferred
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers
  • Ability to prioritize workload and client needs
  • Ensure efficiency of facility
  • Noise level varies from quiet to loud
  • Temperature varies from hot to cold
  • Interactive and fast-paced team oriented tasks
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
