Automotive Contracts 

Description

We are currently looking for an Automotive Contracts Clerk to join our team. The Contracts Clerk is responsible for accurately recording the sale, profit, commissions payable and title work on all sold units and for maintaining an accurate accounting of vehicle inventories.

Our ideal candidate has some post-secondary education (degree, coursework, or certification) and at least three years of experience as a Contracts Clerk for an automotive dealership. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment handling multiple projects and must have excellent communication, administrative, organizational, and computer skills. Automotive Accounting, CDK, and/or Reynolds and Reynolds/UCS experience is required. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is required along with advanced organizational skills.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Record/Post Sales Transactions
  • Process Sales Commissions
  • Process all Title work for vehicle sales.
  • Examines contracts to ensure conformity to specified requirements and audits car deals for corporate documentation standards
  • Verifies all documents are signed and completed properly
  • Processes paperwork in a timely manner
  • Issues checks for lien payoffs and submits to financial institutions
  • Reconciles monthly schedules
  • Posts inventory related payable invoices
  • Provides administrative assistance as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a Team Player
  • High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred
  • Three years of relevant experience in an Automotive Retail Dealership
  • Strong computer and internet skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Automotive Accounting, CDK experience required
  • Strong math skills
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and interest in accuracy
  • Highly professional and dependable
