Our Child Placement Services program has a unique Full-Time opportunity for a Child Placement Coordinator / Therapist to join their team. This position will support the program's services in a combined effort as both Child Placement Cood. & Therapist.  Flexible schedule M-F with rotating 1x Month On-Call coverage required.  Must be available to work evenings and weekends to accommodate client schedules.  Position requires travel to support Raleigh/Durham, Greensboro, & Roxboro (one case/client per area).  If you’re looking for a rewarding, challenging position with a sustainable organization, we’d love to explore this opportunity with you.

Child Placement Coordinator: Functions primarily as coordinator of placement services for children receiving treatment foster care. Responsibilities include intake, casework, service planning, and planning/coordinating the services and resources affecting children and their families.  

  • Advocates for personal outcomes for children and families, adhering to best practices. 
  • Coordinates referrals for placements and receives all necessary paperwork prior to service delivery.
  • Coordinates admission and discharge planning with respective contracted agencies including completion of required documents prior to placement and conducts an initial visit with the child within 72 hours.
  • Supervises and monitors service delivery through client home and community visits assuring services meet or exceed state, local and ESUCP standards.
  • Assists the Licensing Coordinator with recruitment and provision of training for prospective foster parents.
  • Supervisory Responsibility: Supervises and monitors the documentation requirements for Therapeutic Foster Parents.

Child Placement Therapist:  Provides direct therapeutic interventions as part of a multi-disciplinary team intended to stabilize the living arrangement and promote reunification for identified youth through the age of 20. These services are provided in multiple locations, including therapeutic foster homes, homes, and communities of the person served. 

  • Provides weekly individual and family therapy, including the reunification of family and treatment foster family, in a community-based or home-based setting.
  • Provides crisis intervention services. Ensure all children receive Comprehensive Clinical Assessments upon placement and annually.
  • Participates in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the person-centered plan. Provides supportive counseling and psychoeducational support to the child and family to improve stability and coping mechanisms in accordance with evidence-based interventions
 
Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a human service field from a college or university accredited by an entity approved by USDOE or CHEA
  • Must hold an active, unrestricted license or provisional license as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LCAS.  
  • Have documented experience with the population to be served
  • Valid unrestricted, state-appropriate driver’s license and ability to be insured by Easter Seals UCP’s insurance carrier.
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to transport self throughout the assigned communities.
  • Work is office/community-based; travel and work within any setting is required, including the private homes of persons served.
