About the team:

This role is part of the Manufacturing Production Team which plays a critical role in driving revenue at Sciton. You will be responsible for producing components by assembling parts and subassemblies for our customers. This position will be based in Palo Alto, CA. and reports to the Manufacturing Manager. 

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling and placing materials and supplies in stock
  • Confirm material received against the packing list
  • Perform database transactions for material receipt, issues and movement
  • Distribute material to stock locations and work centers
  • Fulfill customer service orders and stock replenishment requests
  • Operate hand-truck and pallet jack to move inventory
  • Perform periodic material cycle-counting, posting, and reconciliation
  • Maintain inventory accuracy in all manufacturing locations
  • Participate in full physical material audits
  • Move material and assemblies between buildings
  • Report low material and stock-out conditions to the buyer
 
Position Requirements

 

Essential Requirements for this role:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • General computer skills
  • Strong organizational skills and logistical skills
  • Ability to routinely lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for several hours daily
  • Ability to routinely bend, stoop, reach, and use a warehouse ladder
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license

 

The ideal candidate may also have:

  • 2 years’ experience in a material logistics or warehousing role
  • ERP or material/inventory management system experience (Oracle, SAP, InFor POS, other)
  • Experience working in a production environment
