Counselor needed for full-time, temporary position in Montgomery County. Hours will be M-F - 6 am-2 pm or 7 am to 3 pm - ( 3-4 weeks).
The Counselor position provides clinical support to clients in the areas of addictions and mental health by providing therapeutic insight and interventions. This role ensures that the program supports the individual goals of consumers and that the recovery process is encouraged through support, demonstrate the organization's values. This position provides individual and group counseling and maintains a caseload of 35+ patients.
·Provide individual and Group Counseling Maintain caseload of 35+ patients
·Attend and Present Clinical Case Consultations, Treatment Plan Update meetings, and clinical supervisions as scheduled. Provide crisis intervention
·Assist in client aftercare planning and follow-up Facilitate specialty groups as assigned
·Evaluate client's progress and report to funders/referral sources as requested
·Determine resources needed to meet the individuals needs identified in the assessment process and coordinate community support activities
·Serve as an advocate for the client to enable them to receive needed services: identification of program needs, service gaps, and recommending strategies.
