Share Email Opening Title Survey Field Technician - Rod Person  Description Alliant Engineering has a great opportunity to get into the Survey field with a Survey Field Technician - Rod Person position! The Survey Rod Person works closely with the Party Chief to complete assignments in a safe and efficient manner. This position is entry level and requires a self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Responsibilities: Field Work: Assists with field data collection (i.e. use of a prism pole, level rod, etc.) and assigned safety related activities. Ability to set up appropriate survey instrument to perform the requested job, including total stations, GPS receivers, levels, LiDAR sensors, etc. to achieve the required field information. Assists the Survey Party Chief, as needed, with field activity logs and results, safety forms and permits. Operations Support: Assist the Survey Party Chief with appropriate maintenance of assigned equipment, tools and cleanliness, organization and stocking of warehouse spaces.
