Job Summary

The Project Manager of the grant funded Yellowhawk Project LAUNCH (Linking Actions for Unmet Needs in Children's Health) oversees all goals, objectives, work activities and deliverables of this federally funded project. The purpose of this program is to promote the wellness of Tribal children from birth to eight years by addressing the physical, social, emotional, cognitive and behavioral aspects of their development. All duties and responsibilities will be performed in accordance with the Yellowhawk Mission and Vision statements.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Organizes all activities of the project as outlined in the grantee application with associated timeline.
  2. Prepares all grantee reporting requirements and attends grantee meetings.
  3. Establishes agreements with contractors and oversees their work activities.
  4. Collaborates effectively with other Yellowhawk initiatives and programs.
  5. Coordinates and facilitates all project meetings, both internally and externally.
  6. Engages CTUIR community members in project coalition, qualitative feedback, and program development.
  7. Works closely with project evaluator to assure data collection and reporting requirements for the project are met.
  8. Participates and assists with organizing community and youth healing and mobilization activities.
  9. Provides supervision and guidance of project staff and team members.
  10. Develops performance management goals that align with Community Wellness department objectives and supports the activities of the grant.
  11. Develops annual work plan activities annually that align with the Yellowhawk Strategic Plan and supports the goals of the grant.
  12. Maintains confidentiality in accordance with the Yellowhawk Tribal Health Center Policy Manual, HIPAA and the Privacy Act.
  13. Other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in social work, Public Health, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or related field with 3 years’ related work experience or a Bachelor degree in another field with five years of closely related work experience.
  2. Demonstrated experience with supervision/management of personnel.
  3. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office programs and/or other relevant software to meet the needs of the various programs.
  4. Demonstrated high level organizational and planning skills.
  5. Must possess or receive CPR and First Aid certification within ninety (90) days of employment.
  6. Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain insurance requirements to operate General Services Administration vehicles.
  7. Must submit to and pass a reference and criminal background check.
  8. Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Master’s degree in related field, preferred
  2. Experience and/or knowledge of history, culture and health needs of Native American communities preferred.
  3. Experience in a Tribal healthcare system.
