Description

Healthcare & Workforce Pilots Coordinator

This new position seeks an energized individual who would like to make a difference in people's lives through interventions that address the root causes of poverty. This position will involve working closely with the Food Innovations Manager and the Sr. Director of Food, Policy and Impact to help plan, implement and maintain new pilot initiatives which pair healthy food with the critical services of healthcare and workforce/ skill development. The Healthcare & Workforce (HC & WF) Pilots Coordinator will move forward on multiple initiatives while maintaining attention to detail and will have the opportunity to work across multiple departments at the food bank and engage directly with external stakeholders.

 
Position Requirements

Essential Functions 

Coordination

  • Set up and schedule meetings with established and prospective HC&WF pilot partners
  • Work in collaboration with the Food Innovations Manager, the Nutrition Education team and pilot partners to develop food menus for HC&WF pilots
  • Work with Food Innovations Manager and Food Resources team to facilitate procurement of foods for HC&WF pilots
  • Coordinate with ERP, Operations and Volunteer teams to ensure pilot foods are accurately received, stored and eventually packed based on the HC&WF food menus
  • Develop and maintain HC&WF pilots’ internal food delivery schedules
  • Oversee purchasing of materials and supplies for HC&WF pilots
  • Create and maintain electronic files and organization systems
  • Create and maintain project management tools including project timelines, project management tools, milestone & outcomes data

Communication & Customer Service

  • Develop professional communication materials and presentations for a variety of stakeholders
  • Develops a collaborative working relationships with internal staff and external colleagues
  • Cultivates, develops and maintains positive relationships with a diverse range of colleagues including but not limited to: hospital administrators, doctors and clinical staff, CAFB Operations team, food vendors, volunteers and program participants
  • Takes initiative to ensure stakeholders are well informed  and challenges  and misunderstandings are addressed

Minimum Requirements

  • 1-2 years’ experience working in an office environment and providing administrative support
  • Excellent communication skills over email, in person and over the phone
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)     
  • Experience with or ability to learn and navigate a variety of web-based platforms, experience with NetSuite, Partner Link, Survey Monkey a plus
  • Highly adaptable to changes and new opportunities
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to prioritize
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to travel throughout the DMV
