Job Summary

The Manager, PNC Park Events is responsible overseeing supplemental event staff in the selling and execution of PNC Park events. This role is also responsible for selling, planning and executing non-game day and certain game day events at PNC Park; including, but not limited to weddings, ceremonies, corporate meetings, tradeshows, bar/bat mitzvahs, personal celebrations, field events, ballpark events and photo/ proposal programs.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Supervise, train and oversee supplemental events sales and service team in all daily aspects of the selling, planning, and execution of PNC Park Events.
  2. Develop new sales leads and actively prospect daily.
  3. Respond to inquiries regarding booking events at PNC Park.
  4. Schedule and conduct appointments for site visits of venues to prospective clients.
  5. Provide information, details, pricing and event quotes to current and prospective clients.
  6. Coordinate and effectively communicate event specifics and planning functions to external clients.
  7. Coordinate and effectively communicate event specifics internally to the Marketing, Operations, Communications, Corporate Sales and IT Departments, as well as, ARAMARK Catering.
  8. Act as liaison with internal clients in order to properly plan and execute meetings, celebrations and hospitality functions.
  9. Create Floor plans for internal and external events.
  10. Execute event contracts and payments.
  11. Meet and exceed yearly department goals established by Director,PNC Park Events.
  12. Assist with maintaining the departmental and ballpark venue/event calendar.
  13. Review content of monthly email blast and social media outlets.
  14. Support the execution of field events, weddings, military ceremonies and larger ballpark events.
  15. Responsible for the set-up, breakdown and troubleshooting of audiovisual equipment and presentation equipment.
  16. Attend networking events.
  17. Other duties as assigned by department leadership.
 
Position Requirements

Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Management or Event Planning.
  2. Minimum 3 years of sales, event planning and management experience.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  4. Experience with booking software and CAD programs.

Desired:

  1. Experience with a professional sports team.
  2. Knowledge/experience working with social media.
  3. Experience working with audio visual equipment.
  4. Experience working with city and county to secure necessary permits, city services, etc.
