Summary
I Am Boundless, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated Human Resources (HR) Assistant to support our busy HR department and growing organization. The HR Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support for the department, assisting with the hiring process, compliance tracking and reporting, assisting with the entering of a high volume of employment records into our HR database, management of employee records, and preparing reports as needed. The HR Assistant is expected to be a conceptual thinker with superb organizational and time management skills. The HR Assistant will be reliable and should accurately follow instructions with the ability to multitask and acclimatize in a fast-paced environment.

Full-time, hourly position, $15.00-$17.00 hour

  • Enter new hire information in the human resource system database, run compliance reports, and review the output for accuracy.
  • Responsible for maintaining confidential employee personnel files in compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory compliance, including but not limited to recording, tracking, and monitoring.
  • Compiles statistics for various HR management reports.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and I9 forms to ensure that all required documents are collected, filed appropriately, and are in legal compliance.
  • Maintain compliance tracking tools with accurate up to date information.
  • Undertake any administrative duties necessary to fulfill compliance tasks.
  • Maintains confidentiality at the highest level and legal compliance in all areas of work.
  • Maintain compliance records, ensuring both manual and electronic records are up to date.
  • Assist with Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Worker Compensation (WC), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) tracking and reporting.
  • Assist with internal and third-party audits of HR processes as requested.
  • Upon request to develop, prepare, generate, and analyze ongoing and ad-hoc special reports about employee personnel information and data.
  • Complete Employment Verification Forms.
  • Monitor and maintain training records and tracking.
  • Assist with the onboarding and new hire process of candidates, including onboarding appointments, processing of forms, reference verification, etc.
  • All other duties as assigned to assist with any aspect of the Boundless organization and the HR functions to support.
 
Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One-year experience in HR, Finance, or related field required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports and documents.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills - accuracy is essential.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • One-year experience working with intellectually or developmentally disabled individuals preferred.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local employment laws and compliance requirements.
  • HRIS experience.
