POSITION SUMMARY: Moravian University invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach courses in specialized areas of application in economics in the Economics and Business Department. Positions are available for the academic year beginning June 2021, in the Master of Business Administration program teaching Microeconomics. Areas of knowledge needed include: competitive analysis of various market structures; advanced pricing methodologies; relevance of elasticity, economies of scale, and economies of scope to profit margins; game theory; and moral hazard, adverse selection, and misaligned incentives within organizations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS: Successful applicants will at least hold a master's degree in economics, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university at the time of appointment; a PhD is preferred. Professional work experience in applying economics is required. Applicants for the position in Microeconomics should have experience with analyzing competitive practices within and across industries as they relate to cost analyses, pricing and advertising strategies, and aligning incentives to optimize decisions within organizations.
The Master's of Business Administration (MBA) program develops leaders with the skills and adaptability to manage complex, diverse, and fast-changing situations in today's business world. Moravian offers seven concentrations for students to choose from, which include accounting, supply chain, healthcare management, general management, human resource management, business analytics and finance.
