GENERAL PURPOSE

Under the administrative supervision of the People Operations Director or designee, this position is responsible for a wide variety of clerical duties and provides support to the People Operations Department.

DISTINGUISIHING CHARACTERISTICS

This is an at-will administrative position within a program. This position is responsible for assisting the People Operations Department with data entry, maintaining files, and collecting and recording various documentation from staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – (ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY)

  • Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents/software into required databases
  • Compares data entered with source documents/software to detect and correct errors
  • Compiles, sorts, and verifies accuracy of data to be entered
  • Files hard copies of data in appropriate source documents
  • Maintains electronic and paper files as assigned
  • Scans and stores records as assigned
  • Run reports from software
  • Collects documents from program staff
  • Is personally responsible and held accountable for work hours and time management
  • Provides support to Human Resources team members as needed
  • Attends all meetings as requested by the HR Manager and/or HR Director
  • Adheres to and upholds the policies and procedures of Turning Point Community Programs
  • Meets the standards set for performance as well as accuracy in all aspects of job duties
  • Meets the standard for consistent attendance (not more than a 5% absence rate per month) by reporting to every scheduled shift on time and ready to work and by the judicious use of paid sick leave and avoiding any situations resulting in the need to dock pay for time not worked.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES

Education, Training and Experience:

A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is through graduation from High School or an accredited GED Program; one (1) year of experience performing a wide variety of clerical duties. Must be able to type 45 words per minute.

Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:

  • California driver’s license & current vehicle insurance/registration if driving; and,
  • Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection if more than five years old excluding all modes of two-wheeled transport inclusive of bicycles, mopeds and motorcycles.
