Position Front Desk Coordinator  
Description

Alliant Engineering, Inc., has an exceptional, fulltime opportunity available for a Front Desk Coordinator in our downtown Minneapolis office. Our Front Desk Coordinator is the face of Alliant and is responsible for providing a great first impression and administrative support to clients, visitors and our company. We are looking for a detail-oriented, confident and energetic personality to fill this position. The ideal candidate is well-organized, adaptable and thrives in a creative environment. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to take initiative are equally important.

 

You will:

  • Oversee front reception; answer phone calls, fax, scan, and photocopy documents, etc.
  • Assist the Accounting department with entering credit card and mileage expenses, opening projects in the accounting system, entering accounts payable invoices and other miscellaneous accounting duties
  • Represent the company professionally in on premise contact
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities and events with Human Resources and Marketing
  • Provide routine information and direction to callers and visitors
  • Ship and receive mail and courier packages, and distribute to appropriate departments
  • Prepare for on-site and off-site meetings including making arrangements for food and supplies
  • Maintain the upkeep of high traffic areas within the office such as break rooms and supply areas
  • Maintain appropriate stock of office supplies and paper through weekly ordering
  • Perform light maintenance tasks as needed; e.g. replacing light bulbs, cleaning out work areas, etc.
  • Carry out duties in a professional and positive manner
  • Work independently with minimal detailed supervision and guidance
  • Be a positive and creative force on the team
 
Position Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Two plus (2+) years or more of Administrative Assistant/Office administration experience.
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
