Clinical Product Manager

The Product Manager is responsible for working with a team of product managers, identifying market needs and transitioning these needs into CPSI & its companies products and solutions. The product manager acts as the product champion for specific product(s), confirming CPSI company product(s); address market needs, differentiate from competition and drive revenue and profit growth. The product manager uses influence throughout the organization to confirm successful delivery of new releases, new products and achievement to their product metrics. These metrics include product revenue, product profit and customer adoption. This highly visible position is a primary contributor of CPSI companies strategic growth goals by improving existing products and creating new products.

Essential Functions: In addition to working as prescribed in our Performance Factors specific responsibilities of this role include:

  • Continuously gather and synthesize feedback from clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Work with a team of Product Managers throughout all phases of the CPSI product playbook
  • Frame the problems we are solving in the form of opportunity evaluation.
  • Define product strategy and mange product roadmap
  • Provide expertise needed during design; help the R&D team see what the software should do to address the user need.
  • Engage clients early and often during development to validate success criteria and product designs.
  • Make mid-course adjustments to project scope through negotiation with Product Development.
  • Provide expertise needed during stakeholder meetings; help all internal departments understand the problem, our overall approach, and the value of our solution.
  • Engage clients and internal stakeholders to evaluate the solution and decide whether it's ready for release.
  • Identify and analyze new business opportunities; perform market and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Define business value for opportunities supporting strategic growth initiatives.
  • Present information effectively to executives within CPSI and client organizations.
  • Maintain existing business relationships with 3rd party partners with respect to product planning.
  • Prepare proposals for cross-product line development projects.
  • Perform build vs partner analysis.
  • Recommend new business relationships with 3rd party partners.
  • Collaborate with CPSI executives to determine business strategy.

Minimum Requirements:

Education/Experience/Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent relevant business experience
  • Proven strong writing, verbal and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to follow through on issues to resolution.
  • Must be able to act both independently and as a team member.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years-experience working within healthcare industry including detailed understanding of healthcare industry and clinical environments
  • 2 to 4 years-experience in product management within an enterprise software organization
