Description

Job Summary: To assist the Director of Outpatient Services or designee in ensuring clinical and administrative operation of the Outpatient Department. To provide ongoing supervision to all team members – clinical and administrative. To provide clinical care services to assigned caseload.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties

  1. To complete clinical assessments on candidates for program involvement.
  2. To oversee staff completion of clinical assessments and level of care determinations.
  3. To maintain clinical caseload and provide individual, group and family therapy services on an ongoing basis (up to 50% of time).
  4. Maintain departmental productivity benchmark of billable face to face activity on caseload.
  5. To provide case management and outreach services to caseload as needed.
  6. To participate in and/or facilitate case reviews on a quarterly basis.
  7. To provide clinical intervention and support to program participants not on assigned caseload when necessitated by the situation.

Administrative Duties

Staffing

  1. Assist Director of Outpatient Services in the recruitment, hiring and training of staff.
  2. Provide direct supervision of professional staff and assigned interns.
  3. Conduct clinical and operational team meetings.
  4. Complete annual performance reviews on clinical staff.
  5. Ensure adequate clinical coverage during the site’s operational hours.
  6. Monitor and troubleshoot operational and productivity benchmarks for both clinical and administrative staff on a weekly basis.
  7. Develop and implement measures to address impediments to staff productivity level achievement and sustainment.

 

  1. Program Development and Evaluation
  1. Assist in identifying and developing response strategies to evidenced consumer need.
  2. Assist in developing/enhancing treatment options to ensure responsiveness to consumer need.
  3. Participate in developing vibrant QI program and in monitoring/implementing change strategies identified through process (PDSA model).

 

Statistical Evaluation

  1. Coordinate preparation of routine statistics for the completion of monthly/annual reports.
  2. Coordinate collection of data for QI process – assist in analysis of data.
  3. Coordinate collection and assessment of monthly intake data.

 

Community Linkage

  1. Assist in maintaining/cultivating strong linkages with community agencies and organizations that support the program and its consumers.
  2. Provide information to service providers and community groups through speaking engagements when needed.
  3. Represent the program/agency at external forums when needed.

 

All other duties as assigned by Director of Outpatient Services or Designee.

 

 
Position Requirements

Master’s degree in Social Work, psychology or counseling with an LCSW or LPC required.

Supervisory certificate highly preferred.

License in good standing.

A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in a behavioral healthcare setting is required.

Currently paneled with commercial insurance including Medicare (if eligible) or eligible for commercial insurance and Medicare (if eligible) paneling.

Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity preferably across multiple locations.

Familiarity with adults experiencing the full range of mental health issues (mild to severe and persistent). Experience with addictions and co-occurring populations a plus.
