We are seeking a Planning Yard Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will:

  • Assume responsibility for all Mechanical Engineering for LCAC SLEP, LCAC LCM, SSC LCM, and sustainment efforts.
  • Develop Craft Change Documents (CCD) for craft improvements and safety issues and provides technical guidance and documentation for CCDs, including craft installation drawings, TM updates, and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).
  • Provide technical and design support on emergent issues in the Fleet and during SLEP, Post SLEP Extension (PSE), Fleet Modernization Program (FMP), AIT, and Post Shakedown Availabilities (PSA).
  • Respond to emergent Fleet issues related to Life Cycle support and engineering issues as a result of System Engineering Integrated Product Team (SEIPT) meetings for items related to action items/studies.
  • Serve as the lead technical authority for reviewing/answering Liaison Action Requests (LAR) processed and approved by the Planning Yard.
  • Travel for design craft checks when required (ACU-4, ACU-5 and NBU-7).
  • Work/update the status of work in PMS377’s IDESC.
 
Position Requirements

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science within a Mechanical Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relatable experience.
  • An active Secret security clearance.
  • US citizenship is a prerequisite.
