Your New Role:

We are looking for a Manager, Maintenance to manage the planning and execution of all required maintenance, monitoring and ongoing operating inspections of HVAC, Purified Water and utilities systems as well as production and process equipment. As the leader of this group you will have scheduled after hours on-call maintenance.

How You Will Make An Impact:

  • Serving as an asset owner of the utility generation, utility distribution, Purified Water, HVAC, pollution abatement and Building Management systems.
  • Developing procedures to ensure safe, efficient and compliant operation of all equipment.
  • Generating, reviewing, and approving cGMP documentation such deviations, investigations, validation and user requirement specification, etc.
  • Managing execution of equipment inspection and maintenance contracts.
  • Participating in equipment and system related project teams.
  • Continuing to build on your field of expertise through ongoing professional development.
  • Assisting in internal and external audits by responding to audit observations in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining metrics for areas of responsibility and monitor these to improve the processes, efficiency and effectiveness of the product and/or systems, ensuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) measure progress against objectives.
  • Leading the company Sustainability Team, focusing on the efficient utilization of materials, water, and energy consumption as well as minimizing waste.

As A Leader You Will:

  • Hire, train, develop, mentor and manage the Maintenance team.
  • Oversee, participate in and approve the interviewing, hiring and training of department employees.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports; and assists direct reports with performance evaluation process for their units.
 
Position Requirements

Ideal Candidate Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related science discipline with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience within a maintenance, utilities or facilities management role in a regulated manufacturing environment (highly preferred); or
  • Associates degree in an engineering/related science discipline or equivalent technical school training with a minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience; or
  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in maintenance and planned inspection of equipment systems in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 5 year’s experience in using computerized Building Management Systems is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct people management experience is required.
  • Documented training in HVAC systems and documented training in the fundamentals of cGMP.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems by applying engineering principals.
  • Ability to execute, document and present investigations into production equipment-related issues.
  • Ability to understand cGMPs and other regulatory guidelines applicable to medical/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong professional writing skills and ability to prepare technical reports.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, graphs and charts, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, the general public and government regulated agencies.
