What You Would Be Doing

This clinician is responsible for providing outpatient behavioral health services, including counseling and case management services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Services may be provided in person or via telehealth, on an individual, group, or family basis in the school or home environment, or other settings within the community.

The clinician reports to the clinical manager and is responsible for ensuring that the emotional and social needs of the clients are met and maintained on an individualized basis in accordance with policies and procedures, and current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Work Environment

This job regularly works in the community providing services outside of the office, in schools, client homes, and other community settings. This position may also work in the office and provide telehealth services. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, working at least 40-45 hours per week. This position operates Monday through Friday during regular business hours; however there will often be times in which the requirement will include extending hours into 2-3 evenings a week. Occasionally, additional evening or weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

 
Position Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work or related field.
  • Licensed through the State of Ohio as a LSW/LPC/LISW/LPCC.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • One to two (1-2) years of social work experience in a school or community setting, working directly with children, adolescents, and families.
  • Experience working with people with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities.
  • Experience working with people with mental health conditions.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Must be able to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and support agencies.
  • Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, emotionally upset, and at times hostile clients/family members.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Transports clients as needed; operates own vehicle.
  • Required valid Ohio Driver’s License with Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles; proof of auto insurance; insurable driving record - fewer than five points.
