Astronics Test Systems requires an Electrical Engineer to engage in test suite development; coordinate with Lead Engineers, ensuring a common test strategy; develop and maintain work breakdown structure with Project Manager; identify hardware and software custom requirements; supervise applications development; ensure documentation of knowledge for building team expertise; weekly review of developed and maintained Gap Report with Group Engineering and Operations Director; inventory of ATE system, hardware, etc.; ensure software code complies with guidance resources; mentor Applications Engineers; design engineering activities in project scope for Engineering Manager approval; interface test adapter design and development; quality standards and processes adherence; design review coordination with project team and Engineering managers; creation of technical document content; and review and approval of engineering change requests.
The position location is Orlando, Florida.
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field and 60 months of experience as an Electrical Engineer. Applicant must also have 3 years of experience with digital, analog, microprocessor, microcontrollers and power electronics; 3 years of experience using National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand, or Lab Windows CVI; and, 3 years in an engineering leadership role.
