Position Summary:

As a Front Gate Ambassador at Edgewood Tahoe Resort, you are in a position that is highly valued in creating a lasting first impression for our guests. When welcoming each guest upon arrival to the resort, you must be articulate and effectively communicate during these brief interactions, and deliver the authentic service Edgewood is known for. Essential Functions:

  • Warmly and authentically welcome guests upon arrival to the Resort at the Front Gate in accordance with Edgewood’s Service Standards, verify reservations and direct as needed.
  • Maintain professionalism at all times and act as the point of reference for guests in need of assistance or information upon arrival or when departing.
  • Build rapport with all guests and patrons.
  • Uphold Edgewood policies and procedures and resolve challenges encountered at the main entry gate.
  • Acquire extensive knowledge and stay current with resort amenities and related information, as well as ongoing scheduled special events taking place on resort property.
  • Understand guests’ needs and provide them with personalized solutions by suggesting activities and facilities provided by the hotel.
  • Effectively communicate intra and inter-departmentally via phone, ipad or radio to find information.
  • Provide support to the Safety & Asset Protection team and management as required, and in cases of emergency.
  • Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
Position Requirements

Qualifications / Special Skills:

  • The ideal candidate is a seasoned and highly effective hospitality professional.
  • Proven experience in a service-based role advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Articulate with excellent communication skills.
  • Polite and confident with a great deal of patience.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time.
  • Must be able to operate a tablet or other computer device and navigate associated applications without assistance.
  • Aptitude in resolving issues with customer-focused orientation.
  • Previous hotel-related experience desired.
  • Available to work varied shifts when needed, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
