We have an immediate need for a Mechanical Field Engineer to work on various projects at the Blue Plains Wastewater Treatment Plant in Washington, DC. This individual will be responsible for monitoring and inspection of all mechanical trade construction work on projects, including wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, solar power generation systems, and more. The Mechanical Field Engineer will be onsite during all construction activities. Responsibilities include: Performing construction inspections for codes and standards compliance and workmanship Preparing in-depth construction inspection reports of findings and recording non-compliance Reviewing schedules in P6 Managing all RFIs and change orders\ Preparing monthly invoices Reviewing subconsultant invoices Preparing daily reports Managing correspondence   Position Requirements Requirements 10+ years of experience in the construction industry. Bachelors Degree in Engineering required. Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred. Registered Professional Engineer or Certified Construction Manager preferred. Strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems. Ability to read and analyze construction drawings. Experience working at wastewater treatment plants preferred. Ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse staff. Strong computer software skills, and ability to learn new programs quickly.
