DeLong's, Inc. is a steel fabricator that produces steel bridges and miscellaneous bridge components for the transportation industry and structural steel for the building industry. Due to our unique production processes, we provide extensive on-the-job training. Even without a technical background, a candidate with strong work ethic and a desire to learn and build skills will have the opportunity for growth and advancement. All qualified applicants will receive considerations for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Standard Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. However, hours may vary depending on delivery appointments or customer need. This may include earlier starts, infrequent one to two-night runs, or night deliveries. Duties and Responsibilities: Operate company-owned trucks and trailers to facilitate shipping and receiving operations. Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup, and relocation of products and materials. Perform required before-, during- and after-operation user maintenance and provide required reports. Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations. Operate all necessary material handling equipment (MHE). Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs. Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition. Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall transportation team operations.   Position Requirements Requirements: Possession of a Class A Commercial Drivers’ License in good standing required. A safe driving record as reflected in a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) is required. Strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and time-management skills are required. Ability to perform essential minimum physical functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations, including push, pull, lift, climb, bend, kneel, squat is required. Minimum of two (2) year’s driving experience preferred. Experience with oversized loads preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred, relevant experience may be substituted for education.   This position is currently not accepting applications.
